Minta for Trade & Petroleum Services
Since 2005. A free zone company in the General Free Zone, Amreya, Alexandria. Supplies oil and gas, petrochemical and power clients VAT-exempt from imported stock, and handles export.
info-oilandgas@minta-eg.comMinta is the supply arm of the El Biali Group, built one company at a time over three generations, with its own foundry and valve works.
The El Biali Group began in 1962 as Sami Ahmad El Biali Co., a pipe and plumbing supply shop on Sabteya Street in Downtown Cairo. The shop still trades today.
In 1970 the group opened its own foundry, EIC, to cast the ductile and grey iron that water and sewage networks are built from. Minta followed in 1991, VAICO’s valve works in 1997, and the free zone company in Alexandria in 2005. Each was added because a customer needed something the group could not yet buy reliably enough.
The division of labour is simple. The group’s factories make infrastructure iron for water, sewage and buildings. Oil and gas lines run on carbon and alloy steel, most of which is not made in Egypt, so Minta imports it from the makers we represent and stocks it in the General Free Zone in Amreya, ready to supply VAT-exempt.
